Biography

Minister Donovan E. Case was born to Christian parents in Kingston, Jamaica. Though raised in a Christian home, he did not receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord until he was in his late teens. While living and studying in New York City away from home, Donovan found everlasting life in August of 1964. He was baptized at Grace Gospel Chapel in Manhattan, NY and joined the fellowship there.

Donovan met and married Carolyn Thompson in July of 1969 at Galilee Gospel Chapel in Corona, NY. Donovan and Carolyn were involved in youth ministries and outreach as they moved to Kingston and back to New York early in their marriage. In 1977, Donovan and his family moved to Wentzville, MO.

From his conversion, Donovan has felt a deep burden for the African-American community and to equip and empower all those willing to commit themselves to the work of the Lord. In November of 1977, Donovan answered the call to full-time Christian Ministry with his commending Assembly of Richmond Heights Gospel Chapel, Richmond Heights, MO. Since then Donovan has planted a number of Assemblies, founded numerous Christian organizations, worked with Child Evangelism Fellowship, served on many boards, and mentored existing and emerging leaders.

On May 5, 2012, the Trustees of Carver College in Atlanta, GA, conferred upon Donovan the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity.

​

Donovan presently serves as President and CEO of African Americans For Missions, an organization that has was birthed out of a vision almost 40 years ago.  He additionally serves in leadership roles at two local churches, and regularly provides counsel to pastors around the country.
